I think I’m a Scotch person! And Mezcal is a close second because they share some of the same flavor profiles.

The 2:1:1 ratio is important. (2 parts spirit, 1 part sweet, 1 part sour). You can make a lot of great experiments if you use that ratio as a starting point.
